Spike Island Exhibition Tour Sat Oct 1st 2pm

This series of tours offers an artist’s perspective on each of the current exhibitions. The speakers are studio holders at Spike Island who discuss the shows with reference to his or her own interests and work. October’s tour features artist Éilis Kirby discussing Again, A Time Machine.

Éilis Kirby was born in Newport, Rhode Island, and moved to the UK from Ireland in 1988. Having completed a BA in Fine Art at UWE in 1996 and an MA in Arts and Ecology at Dartington College of Arts in 2008, Kirby now lives and works in Bristol and has a studio at Spike Island where she runs EAK Press. Her work, which includes artists’ books, utilises found images, texts and collage and can be found in several collections including Tate Modern, The National Irish Visual Arts Library and University College London. She has also participated in several international collaborative exhibitions and in artists’ book fairs in the UK and abroad.
